THANNAMANDI, Oct 1: Commemorating the 153rd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Thannamandi organized an online quiz on the life and philosophy of the Father of the Nation, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Farooq Ahmed. The event was organized by the NSS Unit in collaboration with the Culture Club is one of the series of events being organized in the campus in connection with the celebrations of Gandhi Jayanti. The quiz aimed to educate participants about Gandhiji's principles and values and inspire youth to embody his teachings, covered aspects of Gandhiji's life, philosophy, and contributions, including: early life and education, Non-cooperation movement, Quit India movement, Philosophy of non-violence and satyagraha. Students from various colleges and institutions across the district participated and those who qualified got certificates. |
