DC reviews arrangements for Navratra, Mahanavami, Dussehra

KISHTWAR, Oct 1: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan today chaired a meeting of officers from line departments and representatives of religious organisations to review the arrangements for the celebration of Ramnavami, Mahanavami and Dussehra festival.
In the meeting, representative of religious organisations put-forth various demands which includes uninterrupted drinking water and power supply, water tanker facility in Chowgan Ground, traffic management, parking facility, installation of stage and proper barricading at the venue, cleanliness and hygiene in all temples of the town.
The Deputy Commissioner assured them that all the arrangements are put in place well in time. He said that sufficient deployment of security Personnel enroute and at the venue shall be ensured.
Meanwhile, the DC gave necessary directions to all the HODs and asked them to work in close coordination to ensure timely and adequate arrangements during the festival.
SSP Abdul Qayoom informed the meeting that alternative routes shall be activated on the occasion so that normal traffic is not hampered and Jhanki is taken out in hassle free manner.
ADDC Ghulam Rasool, ADC Pawan Kotwal, ACR Idrees Lone, CEO Development Authority Dr Rishi Kumar, ACD Phulail Singh, NT, Executive Engineers of PHE, PDD, officers and officials of various departments besides the representatives of socio-religious organizations attended the meeting.
