Jodhamal students excel in the J&K UT Swimming Competition

JAMMU, Oct 2: The Inter-District UT Level Swimming Competition, organized under the aegis of the Youth Services and Sports Department, was held recently at Jodhamal Public School. This prestigious event saw participation from various schools across Jammu and Kashmir, showcasing the exceptional talents of young swimmers in the region.
The outstanding performances by Jodhamal Public School students resulted in an impressive medal tally of 32 medals in various events and categories. The announcement of the dates and venue for the subsequent level will be made soon by the Youth Services and Sports Department.
In the Under-19 Category, Kartikeya Choudhary bagged a Gold Medal in 100-metre Butterfly Stroke and a Silver Medal in 50-metre Butterfly Stroke, Priyum Jain won a Gold Medal in 200-metre Breast Stroke, two Silver Medals, one each in 50-metre and 100-metre Breast Stroke, Aditya Pratap Singh won a Silver Medal in 200-metre Free Style and a Bronze Medal in 100-metre Free Style, Priyal Kapoor won a Gold Medal in 100-metre Free Style, Tanisha Jaggi won two Gold Medals, one each in 50-metre and 100-metre Breast Stroke, Avnee Aethmea won a Gold Medal in 100-metre Back Stroke and a Silver Medal in 50-metre Back Stroke whereas Adaliya Narang won a Silver Medal in 200-metre Free Style and a Bronze Medal in 100-metre Free Style.
In the Under-17 Category, Vihan Goel won two Gold Medals, one each in 200-metre and 400-metre Free Style, Mohd Ibriham won two Silver Medals, one each in 200-metre Free Style and 100-metre Breast Stroke, Prabhdeep Singh bagged a Silver Medal in 50-metre Free Style and Divya Gupta got a Gold Medal in 100-metre Back Stroke and a Silver Medal in 50-metre Breast Stroke.
In the Under-14 Category, Vivaan Yadav won a Gold Medal in 100-metre Breast Stroke and a Silver Medal in 100-metre Butterfly Stroke. Pragnay Sharma won a Silver Medal in 400-metre Free Style, Ayaansh Gupta won a Bronze Medal in 200-metre Free Style, Riyan Choudhary bagged a Silver Medal in 50-metre Butterfly Stroke, Riaan Mahajan won two Gold Medals, one each in 50-metre and 100-metre Back Stroke, Advait Sharma won a Bronze Medal in 50-metre Breast Stroke, Hitanshi Yadav won a Gold Medal in 50-metre Back Stroke, Shranya Sharma bagged a Silver Medal in 200-metre Free Style and Ananhita won a Silver Medal in 50-metre Breast Stroke.
Thus the total Medal tally of Jodhamal students stands at: 13 Gold Medals, 15 Silver Medals and 04 Bronze Medals
The Trustee and Principal of Jodhamal Public School congratulated the students and their coaches Ms Pooja Bassan, Ms Malkeet Kour, Mr Rajan Bakshi and Mr Romesh Chander for their remarkable achievements and dedication. Their hard work and perseverance have brought pride to the school and set a benchmark for future competitions. The school administration expressed its gratitude to the Youth Services and Sports Department for organizing this event and providing a platform for students to excel in swimming.
