Humanity Public School celebrates Navratri

JAMMU, Oct 3: The festival of Navratri, a famous Hindu 9 day's festival celebrated each year in reverence of Maa Durga, was celebrated with full devotion and sanctity in Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana. The festival in veneration of Maa Durga commenced with Aarti by the Principal, Gaurav Charak along with the Vice-Principal, Anku Charak and incharges of different wings - Akashdeep Raina (Senior Incharge), Ravinder Sadhu (Administrator Officer), Prasidh Singh (Hr. Sec. Incharge), Namrta Sharma (High Wing Incharge), Vandana Sharma (Primary Wing Incharge), Aparna Billowria (Pre-Primary Incharge), Er. Varinder Kumar (IT Incharge), and Mahan Singh (Sports Incharge).
The programme was followed by rhymes and topics presented by the students sharing the significance of the pious day. Ridhi Jamwal of class 4th was dressed up as Maa Durga. Drishti and Ridhika of class 3rd recited Durga Mantra. Afreen of class 10th, Navya of class 8th and Aishpreet of class 4th presented their topics on Shubh Navratri. The beautiful rhymes were recited by Aradhya and Gurtaj of class 3rd and Vasundra of class 8th. The presenter of the programme was Kritika of class 10th.
While addressing the gathering, Principal, Gaurav Charak said that Navratri is a festival during which we worship Goddess Durga in nine different forms. The spirit of Navratri inculcates unity and togetherness in each other. The Vice-Principal of the school, Anku Charak told all the children about the Indian culture and described the characteristics of all nine forms of Maa Durga and aware the students about the significance of fasting during Navratras.
