Inter School District Level Selection trials and competitions begin in Jammu

JAMMU, Oct 3: The Inter School District Level Selection Trials for Karate (Boys & Girls), Hockey (Boys), and Gymnastics (Boys) U-19 years, along with the Inter Zonal District Level Basketball Competition (Boys U-19), commenced today at MA Stadium and KK Hakku Stadium in Jammu. Organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), District Jammu, the event aims to identify talented athletes for further competitions.
Under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports JK UT, Rajinder Singh Tara (JKAS), and the guidance of Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu, Ved Parkash (JKAS), the event is being supervised by DYSSO Jammu, Sunil Kumar Sharma, and I/C DYSSO Jammu, Harvinder Kour. Around 150 participants from various private and government schools of District Jammu are competing in these trials and competitions.
The competitions are conducted by a team of experts, including Karanjit Singh, Jagit Singh, Mandeep Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Neeru Jablia, Mayank, Mousmi Verma, Vaneet Pangotra, and Rajesh Bandral, along with other technical officials.
I/C DYSSO Jammu, Harvinder Kour, praised the participants for their dedication and encouraged them to play with team spirit and focus on achieving their goals.
Basketball U-19 Boys Results:
Zone Akhnoor defeated Zone Bishnah with a score of 28-02.
Zone Miran Sahib narrowly beat Zone Gandhi Nagar 29-28.
Zone Satwari overcame Zone Marh 18-02.
Zone Jammu triumphed over Zone Bhalwal with a score of 27-08.
