DIG JSK visits family of martyr head constable Bashir Ahmed

JAMMU, Oct 3: The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma-IPS, along with SSP Kathua Shobit Saxena-IPS, SP Operations Billawar Sh. Aumer, SDPO East Jammu Sheezan Bhat, and SHO Channi Himmat Mohd. Sadiq, visited the home of Martyr Head Constable Bashir Ahmed in Channi Himmat, Jammu. HC Bashir Ahmed had recently laid down his life during an encounter at Kog Mandli, Billawar.
During the visit, the DIG conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family, acknowledging the supreme sacrifice made by HC Bashir Ahmed in the line of duty. He praised the bravery of the martyr, stating that his contribution will be forever remembered by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and his martyrdom will inspire future generations. DIG Sharma assured the family of full support from the police department, emphasizing that HC Bashir Ahmed's sacrifice will not be in vain.
Following this, the DIG also visited Military Hospital (MH) Satwari to meet ASI Niaz, who was injured in the same encounter. DIG Sharma inquired about his well-being and pledged any necessary assistance, expressing pride in the courage shown by the officers during the operation.
The DIG reiterated the commitment of the J&K Police to stand by their brave personnel and their families during such difficult times.
