Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 4: The Shriram Universal School held a Parent Orientation Workshop on "Fine Motor Skills & Parent Partnership," led by Mimi Chatterjee from SEL Delhi. The session offered valuable strategies to help parents support their children's growth. Such workshops reflect the Shri philosophy of fostering holistic development and strong parent-school partnerships.
The mentor emphasized the significance of fine motor skills as a foundation for essential tasks such as muscle development, writing, drawing, and self-care activities. Through interactive sessions, parents were shown hands-on activities that can be easily incorporated into daily routines to help strengthen these skills in young children. The workshop highlighted how early development of these skills plays a vital role in a child's holistic growth.
In addition to fine motor skills, the session also underscored the critical role of parent partnership in a child's growth. Parents were encouraged to actively engage in their children's learning process, fostering an environment of collaboration between home and school. Strategies for effective communication and ways to enhance parent-teacher relationships were also discussed.
Parents participated enthusiastically, appreciating the mentor's guidance and leaving with practical strategies to apply at home.
