| Police nabbs drug peddler with approx 12 gms of heroin | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Oct 5: Intensifying its action against drug dealings and to neutralise the activities of drug peddlers within the district, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Shobhit Saksena-IPS* recovered/seized approx. 12 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics from the Manyari area of PP Marheen, 01 drug peddler arrested and narcotics substance got seized on spot. On 04-10-2024 an information was received through the reliable sources that one person Namely Rana Mohd. S/o Kaju R/o Manyari Tehsil Hiranagar doing illegal trade of selling Heroin like Narcotics and kept intermediate quantity of narcotics substance in his possession at Manyari area.Acting swifty a Police team led by IC PP Marheen under the supervision of SDPO Border and SHO PS Rajbagh during naka/ checking at Manyari area apprehended one person namely Rana Mohd. S/o Kaju R/o Manyari Tehsil Hiranagar who was roaming under suspicious circumstances. While frisking approx. 12 grams of Heroin(Chitta) like narcotics was recovered from his illegal possession. Thereafter all the recovered narcotics was seized, one drug peddler arrested on spot. On this a case vide FIR No. 207/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajbagh while further investigation is underway.
