JKHCBAJ felicitates Justice N Kotiswar Singh Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan

JAMMU, Oct 5: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association, Jammu (JKHCBAJ) organized a grand felicitation function today in presence of the other Judges of the High Court, in honor of Hon'ble Justice N. Kotiswar Singh on his elevation to Judge of the Supreme Court of India and Justice Tashi Rabstan on assuming office as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir & Ladakh.
The event began with a warm welcome by Mr. Parvesh Singh Salaria, General Secretary of the JKHCBAJ, who expressed immense pride in the accomplishments of both the judges. Salaria praised Justice Kotiswar Singh for his humility and unwavering support to the Bar during his tenure as Chief Justice and commended Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan for his remarkable journey and leadership.
Vikram Sharma, Sr. Adv., President of the JKHCBAJ, expressed heartiest appreciation for both Hon'ble judges. He acknowledged Justice N. Kotiswar Singh for his contributions to the judiciary and his approachable nature, and lauded Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan for his commitment to justice and fairness. Mr. Sharma also presented a charter of demands on behalf of the Bar Association, addressing key concerns important to the legal community.
Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan, in his address, thanked the JKHCBAJ for organizing the event and assured the Bar that all genuine demands will be taken into consideration and addressed with due care. Justice Tashi Rabstan reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the Bar for the betterment of the judiciary.
Justice Kotiswar Singh also addressed the august gathering, spoke, sharing fond memories of his experience working with the Jammu Bar. He praised the Bar for its dedication and professionalism, stating that his time as Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir had been one of his most rewarding experiences. He complimented the office-bearers of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu for ensuring that while Lawyers' grievances are redressed, yet the Justice Dispensation is not disturbed.
The event was organized smoothly with the efforts of Mr. Chetan Misri, Joint Secretary, and Mr. Utkarsh Pathania, Treasurer, ensuring a well-coordinated function. The gathering saw the presence of other Justices of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, along with Judges of the District Judiciary, senior advocates, and esteemed members of the Bar.
A vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Amit Gupta, Vice President of the JKHCBAJ, who expressed gratitude to the Hon'ble Justices and all attendees for making the event a success.
As a token of respect, mementos were presented to Justice N. Kotiswar Singh and Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan by the JKHCBAJ team.
The function concluded with the national anthem, followed by lunch.
