JK Public School, Kathua lifts Boys, DPS, Kathua lifts Girls title in District Kathua Softball Championship 2024-25

Kathua, Oct 6: District Kathua Softball Championship organized by District Kathua Softball Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council under the auspices of J&K Softball Association concluded with a appriciated participation at Delhi Public School, Kathua here today.
Sh. Sandeep Sharma, Physical Director, Government Degree College, Kathua was Chief Guest on the closing ceremony. Mrs. Charu Andotra, Principal, Mount Litra grace the cermony as Guest of Honour while as Mrs. Gurpreet Kour, Coordinator was also present as the Special Guest.
The championship was organized under the supervision of Sh.Ajay Singh Salathia, Outstanding Softball Athlete & Sh. Jasbeer Singh, Outstanding Softball Athlete and certified National Umpire of the sport of Softball.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest congratulated the organizers for organizing the Championship in a most befitting manner.
He said every Athlete who is associated with the Sport of Softball should work hard to bring laurels for Jammu & Kashmir UT as this sports falls in the sports requirement quota of J&K Government which will be benifitable for the Softball Athletes in future.
While lauding the tremendous efforts of Ms. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary J&K Sports Council for uplifting sports & games in the Union Territory, the Chief Guest said that Sports Council is providing modern sports facilities to the athletes to blossom at the higher levels.
Every Athlete has to take the advantage of the facilities provided by the Sports Council at various centres.He also said i would also love to extend thanks to the Principal, DPS, Kathua, staff of the school, Schools participated in the championship, College & some Softball clubs for their contribution towards the grand success of this Championship.
Later, the Chief Guest distributed medals and trophies among the winner and runner-up teams, besides the third place holders.He also presented momento’s to Guests present in the concluding cermony and Officials from various schools & Clubs.
The Championship was sponsored by J&K Sports Council.

RUNNER UP- Young Sisters, Kathua
THIRD PLACE- Kathua Rocker’s
MEN
WINNER- JK Public School, Kathua
RUNNER UP- Delhi Public School, Kathua
THIRD PLACE- Huge Blaster’s.
