Srinagar, Oct 6: After the exit polls have predicted that National Conference-Congress alliance is set to emerge as the largest group in Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party has dropped enough hints that it’s ready to join the group.
PDP candidate from Lal Chowk Assembly constituency Zuhaib Yousuf Mir said, “As far as we are concerned, exit polls are not a serious activity but time pass activity. PDP is confident that it will be an indispensable and important part of the secular government that will form in J-K. PDP will have an important role in forming any secular government. We had said that we are ready to take any step to save the identity of Kashmir but for this, it is important that we formulate a secular government, a government against BJP not with them.”

The Peoples Democratic Party has dropped enough hints that it’s ready to join the NC-Congress alliance.
PDP is confident that it will be an indispensable and important part of the secular government that will form in J-K.
It is a great thing that PDP is ready to join us. Congratulations to them. We are all on the same track.
We need to end the hatred, and keep Jammu and Kashmir united.
p BJP out of power, National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah said, “It is a great thing that PDP is ready to join us. Congratulations to them. We are all on the same track. We need to end the hatred, and keep Jammu and Kashmir united.”
Abdullah, however, refused to comment on the exit polls and said that on October 8, when the counting is due for the assembly polls, the results will be in front of all but was quick to add, “I do know this much that the Congress-NC alliance would be forming the government with a majority.”
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, “It seems PDP is desperate to join the NC-Congress alliance to make its presence felt. The party is aware of the fact that it has lost a lot of ground and sharing the power can help it to make a comeback.”
He said, “One thing is crystal clear that NC, Congress and PDP are ready to bury the hatchet to make a comeback.”
