JAMMU, Oct 7: On 7th October, 2024, Environmental Club of K.C. College of Education observed 'World Habitat Day', a day celebrated on first Monday of October every year as designated by United Nations with the purpose to reflect the basic right of all to adequate shelter.
On this occasion, the club organized a slogan writing activity for the students of Arya Girls High School, Jammu on the theme "Creating A Better Urban Future". The main aim of the activity was to remind the people in general and students in particular that they are responsible for the habitat of future generations.
A good number of students of Arya Public High School participated enthusiastically in the activity and showcased their creativity. The best slogan writers were rewarded. Principal of the college, Dr. Sanjay Tickoo appreciated the efforts of the students and the environmental club of the college for organizing such awareness activities. The whole event was convened by Dr. Puja Sharma, Club convenor & Rita Jamwal, college faculty. |
