Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 7: The Shri Ram Universal School successfully organized a recorded Twitter Space on the theme 'Celebration of Democracy,' in conjunction with the recent assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir. This event, which attracted over 1,000 participants, provided a platform for students to actively engage in the democratic process by presenting their own political party manifestos. The event was hosted by Shivani Vaid, Headmistress, and co-hosted by Manpreet Kour, CCA Incharge, along with Mrinalini Sambyal, Head Girl of the school. Around 35 students participated as candidates, representing independent political parties and presenting their manifestos for various constituencies, offering a real-life simulation of the democratic process. Special invitees to the event included prominent figures such as Pradeep Dutta, Senior Editor at Times Now; Dr. Vikas Padha, a Joint Replacement Surgeon; Manu Khajuria, Author and Founder of Voice of Dogra; Manish Prasad, Editor at Defence India TV, and several other social activists from across the globe, making the event a rich source of insights and dialogue. Rajni Gupta, Director, and Sonika Mahajan, Principal, congratulated the students for the successful completion of the activity, praising their dedication and articulation of policies and goals, which mirrored real-world political leadership.
