JAC of SC, ST, OBC organizations demand immediate arrest of those who threatened Tara Chand
10/7/2024 10:33:34 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 7: Joint Action Committee of SC ST OBC organisations organised press conference regarding threats given to Sh Tara Chand by some miscreants/criminals on 1st Oct 2024 from 8.00 pm to 8 30 PM at his residence at Chak Malal Tehsil Khour Distt. Jammu. Three out of five accused persons entered the room where Tara Chand and his supporters were sitting and insisted him to go outside of room so that they may eliminate him but with help of his supporters the miscreants succeeded to fled away from the scene of occurrence.
But it is pertinent to mention here that written complaint was submitted to the Chief Election Commissioner with copy to ADGP for immediate arrest of accused persons but nothing seems to be done in this regards.
All the participants were of view that accused persons should be arrested immediately to deliver justice to Tara Chand- former Dy C M.
It is worthwhile to mention here that Tara Chand being a Scheduled caste was soft corner for miscreants/criminals who threatened to kill him. It is murder of democracy. It should be duty of all politicians irrespective of political parties to condemn such type of incidences.
It is pertinent to mention here that matter was brought to notice of concerned police authorities SHO, SDPO and SSP Jammu by Tara Chand but they failed to arrest the accused persons. All these communities have shown great resentment regarding failure of Police Authorities to arrest accused persons. -
We request to LG and DGP of JK UT for their personal intervention to deliver justice to Tara Chand and his family who are under threat by miscreants/criminals.
It is a matter of serious concern that if a person of stature of former Legislative Assembly speaker, former Dy C M, former CLIP leader and
working president of congress is not safe, then what to talk of safety and protection of common citizen of JKUT.
