SSP Udhampur chairs security briefing session, flag march in view of upcoming counting of General Assembly Election-2024

UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: In preparation for the safe conduct of counting process for the General Assembly Elections-2024, a briefing session was held today by SSP Udhampur Sh. Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS at DPL Udhampur. This session brought together key officers from District Police/Armed Police/CAPF to discuss the strategies security measures.
During the session, SSP Udhampur provided detailed briefing session regarding maintaining a peaceful and secure environment during the counting process. The officers were briefed on their roles and responsibilities, focusing on the effective Coordination between District Police and CAPF personnel.
Key Points of discussion included:-
Security Arrangements: Detailed security plans were laid out for strong rooms to ensure a seamless counting process without incidents of violence or disruptions.
Coordination and Communication:- Strategies for maintaining effective communication channels between different forces and departments during the counting were discussed.
Crowd Management:- Techniques for handling potential crowds were addressed, with an emphasis on ensuring public safety and preventing any assembly that could lead to disturbances.
Contingency Plans:- Officers were encouraged to prepare for any unforeseen incidents, ensuring quick and efficient responses to maintain order.
SSP Udhampur urged all the officers to perform their duties diligently and with utmost integrity.
To reinforce community engagement and foster public confidence, District Police Udhampur, in collaboration with the Armed Police, CRPF, and CISF, organized a flag march throughout the district. The flag march saw active participation from Addl. SP Udhampur, SDPOs, SHOs, ICPPs and other officers from the District Police, IRP, CRPF, and CISF.
District Police Udhampur also urged general public of the district to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to District Police Udhampur to preserve the integrity of the counting process.
