Orientation cum training workshop on Adult BCG vaccination held at Doda

DODA, Oct 7: Under the guidance of worthy Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Om Kumar, a one day block level orientation cum training workshop on Adult BCG Vaccination of healthcare professionals of Block Ghat District Doda was held at Conference Hall, CMO Office Doda on 07-10-2024. The training session was aimed with the ongoing initiative of the department to trained all healthcare professionals about the new concept of Adult BCG Vaccination. Dr Nasir Masood Indrabi, Sh Surinder Singh PMA Supervisor and Sh C K Shan were the key speakers (Trainers) who imparted the training to the participants in a comprehensive manner, briefed all the aspects, management, criteria, measures and all requirements need to start this newly launched project of GOI to curb Tuberculosis. The training session was also attended by BMO Ghat Dr Abdul Gafoor, who graced the occasion and gave a brief introduction about this new initiative of GOI to launch Adult BCG vaccination. The Adult BCG vaccination is a programmatic study aimed at vaccinating vulnerable populations by the end of 2024 and is designed to target individuals aged 18 years and above, focusing on various criteria such as TB history, age, smoking habits, diabetes and Low BMI.
