Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 7: AIIMS Jammu is proud to announce a significant milestone in its journey as our postgraduate students from the Department of Dental Education & Research have brought home prestigious accolades. In just three months since the inception of postgraduate programs in Medical, Surgical, and Dental disciplines, our students have already begun to make their mark at the national level.
Prof. (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Jammu, expressed immense pride in sharing the achievement of Dr. Kinjal Shah (Mumbai, Maharashtra) and Dr. Andrea Joseph (Thrissur, Kerala), who won the Best Poster/Paper Presentation at a national specialty conference held in Chennai from October 3rd to 5th.
The Director expressed, "The 32nd IESCON National Conference, with nearly 1,000 participants representing government and private dental colleges from across India, was an inspiring platform for academic exchange. With over 700 presentations, only 65 were awarded in Paper/Poster Competition, and it is a matter of immense pride that both Dr. Kinjal Shah and Dr. Andrea Joseph from AIIMS Jammu secured first prizes in their respective sessions. Their work showcased innovative applications of technology to overcome modern dental challenges and enhance treatment outcomes."
"It is a proud moment for us," said Prof. (Dr) Gupta. He further added, "Our postgraduates competed against participants from private, government, INIs, and emerged victorious, demonstrating the quality and dedication nurtured at AIIMS Jammu. Winning such accolades on a national platform speaks volumes about the dedication of our students and the tireless efforts of our faculty. This is just the beginning for AIIMS Jammu."
Dr. Kinjal Shah and Dr. Andrea Joseph expressed their gratitude to AIIMS Jammu for providing them with the necessary guidance, and encouragement. Both postgraduates conveyed their heartfelt thanks to the Honorable Director for being a constant source of inspiration, to Dean (Academics), Prof (Dr) Meeta Gupta, for making AIIMS Jammu a home away from home, and to their Head of Department, Prof (Dr) Saurabh Kumar Gupta, for his unwavering support, vision, and mentorship.
In a special note of appreciation, Prof. (Dr) Saurabh Gupta extended his appreciation to the Senior Residents-Dr. Sanjana Khullar, Dr. Rahul Sharma, and Dr. Ankush Sangra-for their unwavering dedication, commitment, and the time they invested in sharing their knowledge and boosting the morale of the students. Their contributions have been pivotal in shaping this success.
In his concluding remarks, Prof. Shakti Gupta congratulated the students, emphasizing that "every success comes with responsibility." He encouraged them to continue raising the bar and reminded all students that this achievement is just the beginning of many more to come. "Together, we will take AIIMS Jammu to new heights,"
