JK Bank’s Navrata gift
Dedicates 9 ATMs to Jammuites

Jammu, March 27: Committed to provide Hi-tech banking services to the people of the State, J&K Bank today on 1st Navratra dedicated 9 ATMs to the people of Jammu. Nine ATMs symbolizing nine Navratras were inaugurated at Bakshi Nagar, Sidhra, Nagrota, Amphalla, New Plot, Rehari, Patta Bohri, IC Bari Brahmna and Janipur locations. The number of ATMs in Jammu province has gone up to 57, including 36 ATMs in Jammu city alone. Overall the ATM network strength of the bank in the country has reached to 242.
Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, Abdul Majid Mir, inaugurated the first ATM of the day at Bakshi Nagar. While speaking on the occasion, he said, “J&K Bank is the only bank which is expanding its branch and ATM network while’s others in the industry are winding up their business units. The opening of ATMs reflect a strong commitment and desire on the part of Bank’s management to expand its reach, particularly in J&K state and upgrade its quality of customer service in a cost effective manner. We have invested around Rs. 200 crore in Information Technology and is all set to leverage the investment for Business Development and Processes and to provide international quality financial services and solutions to customers of the Bank”.

J&K Bank President, K K Sharma inaugurated ATM at IC Baribrahmna, the industrial hub of the city. While speaking on the occasion he said, “J&K Bank has made the state proud by introducing world class technology to the doorsteps of the people. Keeping up with the tradition of maintaining communal harmony we have today gifted 9 ATMs to the people of state.”

Vice President and Zonal Head, Jammu Central, Madan Gupta on the occasion spoke about various initiatives of the bank. He said, “This day is of immense importance to the people of the state, particularly Jammuites. Our objective of serving to empower is not confined to a slogan only, but we are doing our best to implement it in letter and spirit.” He also spoke about various people centric products and services designed by the bank to fortify the state economy.

Meanwhile, Sadanshu Panday, Commissioner Secretary to Government, Finance Department, inaugurated ATM at Sidhra. Samuel Varghese, Financial Commissioner Home, inaugurated ATM at Nagrota. ATM at Janipur was inaugurated by President, Chamber & Commerce, Ram Sahay. O P Agarwal, Regional Director RBI, inaugurated ATM at Rehari. Patta Bohri and Amphalla ATMs were inaugurated by Dr Pawan Kotwal ,Divisional Commissioner, Jammu. District Development commissioner Jammu Dr Mandeep Bhadri inaugurated the machine at New Plot Jammu.
