JAMMU, March 27: Arshiya and Harvinder emerged winners in 18 kg weight group of sub-junior girls and boys category respectively on the opening day of three-day 5th State Wu-Shu Championship, organised by Wu-Shu Association of Jammu and Kashmir at Indoor Complex, M A Stadium, here today.
While Harvinder defeated Abshik for the gold, Arshiya clinched first position outplaying Harshleen in a well contested bout.
The association claimed that teams from 10 districts of the state are taking part in different age groups.
Earlier, the championship was declared open by the Director General Vigilance Organisation, P S Gill, who was chief guest in the inaugural function.
The detailed results:
Sub-junior boys: Below 18 kg: Harvinder, Ist; Abshik, 2nd and Ranbir, third. Below 12 kg: Pratham, Ist; Kirti, 2nd and Vansh Chowdhary, third. Below 14 kg: Arman, Ist; Aaryan, 2nd; Rajveer and Sujal, joint third. Below 16 kg: Ritesh, Ist; Udhay, 2nd; Shubam and Sourav, joint third.
Sub-junior girls: Below 20 kg: Jasleen, Ist; Ankita, 2nd; Bhavya and Chahat Goel, joint third. Below 18 kg: Arshiya, Ist; Harshleen, 2nd; Shruti and Vanshika, joint third. Below 15 kg: Deepanshi, Ist; Paavni, 2nd and Kashvi, third. |
