NILM NGO hosts drug abuse awareness program at Shining Star High School

JAMMU, Oct 8: The National Incredible Literacy Mission (NILM) J&K successfully conducted a pivotal Drug Abuse Awareness Program at Shining Star High School , Muthi Jammu. This significant initiative aimed to educate and empower students about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of making informed, healthy choices.
The program featured a series of engaging presentations, interactive sessions, and discussions led by experts in the field of drug prevention and counseling. The goal was to provide students with essential knowledge and practical tools to recognize, avoid, and address drug abuse issues.
RS Thakur Project Director of NILM J&K, inaugurated the program with a compelling speech highlighting the critical need for awareness and prevention. "Educating our youth about the risks associated with drug abuse is crucial for fostering a healthier, more resilient generation. We hope this program will empower students to make positive decisions and seek help if needed," said R S Thakur
Shining Star High School provided a supportive environment for the event, with the school's Principal Rachna Goswami , emphasizing the importance of such programs in fostering a safe and informed school community. School's staff who actively participated in the event included Anjali Bhat,Reeta Koul,Nisha Sharma and Vishali Sharma.
The Project Director National Incredible Literacy Mission J&K extends its sincere appreciation to Shining Star High School, the participating students, the guest speakers for their valuable contributions to this awareness initiative. He program marks a significant step in NILM's ongoing efforts to promote health, safety, and well-being among young people.
