Reacting to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s remarks against BJP leader L.K. Advani regarding the Babri Masjid, Rajnath Singh said Dr. Singh’s remark was outcome of his frustration caused due to the failures of his government and the disarraying UPA. Addressing a massive gathering here today Mr Singh alleged such remark just ahead of general election is evidence that Congress is trying to create a communal polarization across the nation. Further aiming guns against the Congress, BJP leader said under the UPA regime the people of India have witnessed poverty, growing unemployment, inflation may be down but prices of essential commodities rising high, thumbing down to the political reservation to women and etc. On the other hand during the NDA regime the price of essential commodities and inflation was under control. Mr Singh while refereeing to hype created over the Varun Gandhi’s speech said defended him and said the till date the versions are being carried only doctored CD and I personally feel he is not guilty and thus I have stated that I would go to his constituency [Pilibhit] for campaigning. He however said, “Let the final judgment come as in many cases, there is a prima facie case but later the person is not found guilty sometimes.” He also criticized the Congress for repealing POTA without having any alternative and added that tough laws will be of no use till the government has a "strong will" to deal with terrorism. He seeking vote of Party said "only Advaniji (NDA's Prime Ministerial candidate) can give a government having strong will." "I do not deny that terror attacks took place during NDA rule but we dealt with the problem with a strong will. We enacted strong laws like POTA," he said. "We accepted terrorism as a challenge and dealt with it accordingly," Singh said. Contending that the UPA government does not have the will to fight terrorism, the BJP president, in this regard, referred to the repeal of POTA by it. Continuing his attack on Congress, he said terrorism had taken "birth and spread" during the Congress regime. He also accused Congress of indulging in "appeasement" while dealing with terrorism and claimed BJP, on other hand, does not differentiate. ‘’BJP does not believe in divisive politics. We want to maintain secularism and integrity of the nation,’’ said Mr Singh as he urged the electorate to vote in favour of the BJP He also appreciated the spirits of the Jammu people who stood against the appeasement policies of the Congress and this way they have shown a new way to fight for the rights. ‘’Jammu taught the entire nation, how to lead an agitation against discrimination,’’ the BJP leader said, adding, ‘’the agitation factor made the BJP high command think over the candidates for parliamentary elections.‘’ Mr Leela Karan Sharma, who led the two-month agitation, has been fielded from the Jammu-Poonch constituency and Mr Nirmal Singh from the Doda-Udhampur constituency. “Earlier party candidates and other senior leaders also spoke on this occasion whereas the absence of Prof Chaman Lal Gupta and some MLAs from this main event has apparently made it clear that party is facing discontent
