| BDO suspended in cement bungling case | | |

A Block Development Officer identified as Charanjeet Singh was placed under suspension in cement bungling case here today. The racket was busted by Bishnah police two months earlier . Where as three government officials included Gram Sewak Kailash Kumar, JEE Chander Kant and Accountant Manohar Lal whose involvement was found have already placed under suspension by the director Rural Development JL Sharma, the departmental inquiry is still going on, a government officer told. Pertinent to mention here that Bishnah police on 23 January 2009 on tip off conducted a raid in the house of the contractor identified as Ashwani Sharma alias Toka and seized one hundred and six cement bags belonged to government which were being used in the construction of the house of contractor in stead of allotted site. Police also seized hundred cement bags in another raid conducted in Chumbyain area and the case under section 406,407,109 RPC had been registered in this regard in police station Bishnah.
