Ruling coalition without programme cause suffering to people: Mufti

Jammu: The ruling coalition of Congress and National Conference are without any programme and cause suffering to the people of the state, said Former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Syeed. Addressing a public rally here today Mufti said that PDP is the only party which provided equal share of power to all the three regions. Comparing performance in assembly elections Mufti said that it is only PDP which can provide stable future in the state. He said during the last assembly elections PDP secured large number of votes which indicates that people are accepting policies and programmes of the party which are people oriented. Referring to Shri Amarnath land row issue Mufti said that during his tenure, he has rejected allotment of land knowing the adverse effect of it. He said land of 700 kanals is being used by the pilgrims and will continue to do so.
Connecting over political scenario, Mufti said that there is no alternate to democracy and armed forces believe in enforcing law by hand and fast manners. Further he informed that on Monday parliamentary Executive Committee will announce the list of all contesting candidates of Lok Sabha elections.
Mufti reminded the people that it was during PDP regime that effective steps were taken to remove discrimination and to empower different regions and sub regions. He said were complaints of step mother treatment and discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh regions but PDP government initiated many steps to remove these discrimination, also pointed out that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh were treated equally as far as opening of Colleges, Schools and developmental project were concerned. “It is our PDP that removed the discrimination and empowered all regions”, he said.
