| SH colleges of education launch plantation drive | | | Early Times report Jammu, Mar 28: The management of sacred heart (SH) college of education, Paloura held plantation drive in the college premises here today. Addressing the gathering chairperson of the college, Rajni Bala, said preservation and protection of the environment is very essential. She said pollution of various types is also very harmful and steps should be taken to save environment. Director college development, Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, along with Dr. G.Q. Sheikh, Dr. K.K. Tiwari, Hari Singh Chib, Porf R. L. Sharma and NSS volunteers of the college planted saplings in the college premises. Dr. Kilam on the occasion said that balance in air has been disturbed due to human activities and as such there is need to plant more and more trees to prevent direct penetration of solar radiation on earth.
