10/12/2024 10:20:39 PM
Early Times Report

Doda, Oct 12: Sajad Khanday, District President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Students’ Union (JKNCSU) from Doda, visited Kashmir to celebrate the resounding victory of the National Conference (NC) in the recent elections. During his visit, he met with the upcoming Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, and the party’s president, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, at their residence. Sajad congratulated both leaders by presenting them with bunches of flowers as a token of love and appreciation.
Sajad Khanday played an active role throughout the election campaign and was a strong advocate for the India Alliance. He praised the NC’s leadership, attributing the party’s success to the charismatic leadership of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah, which helped secure the maximum number of seats for the party in the election.
In his conversation with the Abdullahs, Sajad emphasized the urgent need for the central government to restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. He reminded the government of its promise to restore statehood after the elections and expressed confidence that the NC-led government would prioritize this demand. He stressed that fulfilling this promise is essential for the newly elected government to meet the expectations of the people and deliver on the promises outlined in the party’s manifesto.
Sajad also highlighted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir used this election to express their displeasure with the BJP, particularly for the revocation of Article 370 and the bifurcation of the state into two union territories. He expressed hope that the NC will work tirelessly to govern in line with the aspirations of the people, leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to rebuild trust and unity in the region.
