| Madan appeals voters to vote for Congress | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 28: The contesting candidate of Congress party from Jammu-Poonch constituency Madan Lal Sharma, has said that he always stood for Jammu and have tried to resist any kind of discrimination ambit of Jammu province. In an appeal to the people, Sharma said, “I have tried to prove through my deeds and work the cause of Jammu formost”. He said, in humble way he always tried to mitigate the problems and difficulties as a representative of people of Jammu-Poonch constituency in the Lok Sabha and always contribute towards the development and tranquility of the region. He said it is the people’s love and support that he once again is contesting the polls for parliament and assume the people of constituency that he will work more hard than before for the over all development of the constituency. Sharma said Congress party has a long history of being a secular party and has never believed in the politics of caste, creed, colour, sex, region and religion and added the slogan of the party has always been development and upliftment of a common man. He further said Congress party of which I am humble worker has always believed in solving all the problems by working together. Keeping this in view, party has once again given me the mandate to contest from the same constituency and in confident of your full support at the time of polling. He said more work has to be done for over all development of the constituency, as the area is still riddled with numerous problems, which are to be solved with people’s support. He once again requested the voters of the constituency to vote en-mass in his favour on the day of polling which falls on April 16, 2009.
