| District Archery Championship held | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, March 28: Usha Devi and Shakti shared the titles in Jammu District Archery Championship held under the banner of J&K Archery Association at Gulshan Ground, here today.
Since there was only women participation in the one-day district championship, Usha Devi clinched first position in 50 meters event while Shakti bagged the gold in 30 meters event.
In 50 meters, Shakti finished second and later in 30 meters competition, Usha remained runners-up.
In all, 24 women archers took part in the championship.
General secretary of J&K Olympic Association (JKOA), Ashutosh Sharma was chief guest, who gave away prizes to the winners and runners-up. Sports Officer of J&K Police, Faizal Qureshi was guest of honour on the occasion.
Prominent among others present were Dr Narinder Bhutiyal and Sunil Sharma, general secretary, J&K Archery Association.
