DDC Reasi chairs meeting to review Employment Generation Schemes in District

REASI, Oct 14: A review meeting under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan was convened in the Video Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to assess the implementation of employment generation schemes in Reasi District.
At the outset, the DDC took a detailed review of the implementation of self-employment-generating schemes being implemented in the District.
During the meeting, DDC stressed that all departments should focus on innovation and diversification in their respective fields. He emphasised on maximising the coverage of unemployed youth in the District under diverse self-employment generation schemes.
On the occasion, DDC took an extensive department-wise review of cases sanctioned under different schemes, including Mumkin, Tejaswini, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program (PMEGP), DIC, KVIB and other self-employment-oriented schemes.
He highlighted the importance of providing proper handholding and raising awareness among the youth to encourage their participation in these schemes. Additionally, emphasis was placed on imparting training to locals, particularly on home stay management, to augment income generation opportunities.
ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, GM DIC Mohd Anwar Banday, Chief Agriculture Officer, DSHO, AD Handicraft Ujwal Sambyal, AD employment Annie Vaid and other concerned officers were present.
