Natrang honors young artists of Katra Mata Vaishno Devi for acting excellence

Katra, Oct 14: Natrang Jammu- the leading cultural institution of India, today honoured 11 young artists of Katra Mata Vaishno Devi for their outstanding acting excellence. Selected from amongst hundreds of local competitors, these eleven young artists were trained through professional trainers and were given the opportunity to participate in the mega musical theatre show ‘Mata Ki Kahani’ which featured in the Navratra Festival-2024 Katra. Natrang in its endeavor to promote local talents always tries to give opportunity to young talents wherever Natrang moves for its performances. Such a kind of initiative develops a strong local connect and people also find themselves as a part of Natrang performances.
Giving details about this unique initiative, Natrang Director Balwant Thakur informed that Natrang conducted auditions in Katra and selected young aspirants. Out of hundreds of aspirants, Eleven most outstanding young artists made it to the finals and participated as performers of ‘Mata Ki Kahani’. Those honored on the occasion included Aradhaya Sharma, Kavya Sharma, Pihu Mehra, Aanya Sharma, Ayushi Nagotra, Anvi Thakur, Aayna Thakur, Vedanshi Sharma, Priyal Ashok Gupta, Sania Bhagat and Sonam Thakur.
The honors were done by Natrang Director Balwant Thakur who shared that Natrang will make earnest efforts to give these young artists of Katra an opportunity to perform with Natrang at National and international level. On the occasion Natrang Director expressed his gratitude to the Department of Tourism and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for the opportunity. He also complimented Er. Ajay Singh Wazir Chairman Devs of Kids World High School as majority children of his school achieved this rarest distinction.
This initiative of Natrang is being appreciated by all particularly the locals of Katra. One of the parents while expressing his gratitude said that it was a unique experience finding your children becoming a part of an internationally acclaimed presentation. This opportunity is immense for them and they are fortunate enough to have participated and worked with celebrated artists of Natrang.
