| GDC felicitates cadet Mohit Knathia for Mountaineering Achievement | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Oct 14: Government Degree College Kathua honored Cadet Mohit Knathia of 4 JK NCC Battalion, Jammu, for successfully completing the Pre-Everest NCC Boys and Girls Mountaineering Expedition at Chamoli, Uttarakhand. His accomplishment earned him selection for a prestigious month-long Mountaineering course at Siachen Battle School.
At a ceremony held at the college campus, Principal Prof. Seema Mir praised Mohit Knathia's outstanding achievement, stating, "We are immensely proud of our NCC cadet for his exceptional performance and unwavering dedication, which has brought laurels not only to the college but also to the entire region."
Cadet Knathia's journey to this feat began with the successful completion of the Basic Mountaineering Course at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling, where he was named the Best Student. He was subsequently selected for the All India Mountaineering Expedition to Mount Kanh Yaste-II, Ladakh, where he earned the DG NCC Commendation.
The Principal also congratulated NCC Officer Lt. (Dr.) Daya Ram for his hard work and dedication, which contributed to Cadet Knathia's success. The event was attended by senior faculty members, including Prof. R.K. Pandita, Prof. Neelam Bhagat, Dr. Dinesh Jasrotia, Dr. Ram Singh, Dr. Rajesh K. Manhas, Dr. Yash Paul Sharma, and others, who expressed their appreciation for the cadet's remarkable accomplishment. |
