JAMMU, Oct 15: To promote the Traditional Folk Culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, in coordination with Ministry of Culture, Government of India concludes Sanskriti Mohatsav Mega Cultural Program on "Swatch Bharat / Beti Bachao Beti Padao / Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav / Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan" in its 476th Regular Series Musical Play " Sada Virsa" at Shubh International School, Jia Potsa Ghat Akhnnor. A pledge was also taken on drug abuse by more than 200 Students, Teachers and prominent citizens by Miss Chahat Chadha, Artistes of BLSKs administered the pledge & a certificate of honor by the Ministry of Culture was gives to the Principal of the Host School by BLSKS. The Program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Parmukh Mahant Brahmin Giri & Arti Giri of Maira Mandrian Temple Akhnoor, Jia Pota Ghat Akhnnor, Mahant Parmeshwar dass, President Durga Temple Akhnoor V.K. Magotra ,Former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India and Supriya Bali, Pranav teacher, Mohan Singh Jamwal, Senior Journalist Akhnoor were guest of Honour after lightening the traditional lamp. Shilpa Mahajan, Principal, Shubh International School Akhnoor presided over the function. The day commemorated as well with sole aim of rejuvenating the traditional , Primitive Folk, Art, Culture of J&K Region in particular and Indian, "Saraswati Vandna- by School Students ", " Ved Mantra" , "Mero Rumal", "Swatch bharat ka irada kar liya humne", "Jan Jan Mara Aids Rog Jaan", "Nashana Karna Man lo Khena Payaro Bhai behna Hogi Badi Kharabi", " Azadi ka amrut mahostav", "Mere Hikru Gadbad", Nukkad, Skits, Songs and Dances were staged. The Chief Guest the main aim of this day is to create awareness about the ill effects of tobacco, the disease it can cause and the preventable measure. It also reaffirms our commitment to achieve social goals, initiatives to end drug abuse and strengthen community-centric approaches and expressed the resolve that India is committed to root out the menace of drug abuse at any cost. The cleanliness campaign of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was run on a national level and encompassed all the towns, rural and urban. It served as a great initiative in making people aware of the importance of cleanliness and also lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective. The artist of BLSks presented theme based songs which were written by Dr. M.L. Dogra & the music was the program assisted by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor, Blsks. The program was recorded & uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples. Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, main aim to highlighting the importance of Cultural heritage through live performances of Art and Culture which are still very powerful medium of dissemination of various welfare scheme for betterment of society and promotion. Pamphlets and posters on Aids awareness was also distributed among the people, parents of school children also witnesses the program and highly appreciated. A part of the Sanskrti Mahostav artistes of also celebrated the World Students' Day & Birth Anniversary of Dr. A P Abdul Kalam & the history of Dr Kalam was also highlighted.
