| Wrong economic policies responsible for price hike, un-employment, alleges BMS | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 29: The 11th tri-annual one day conference of Bharatiyan Mazdoor Sang (BMS) held at Geeta Bhawan and chaired by its state president Vijay Chandel was attended by large number of workers of various industrial sectors of the state. All India Vice President of BMS, Amar Nath Dogra in his addressed to delegates alleged that due to wrong economic policies of central Govt. Nation is facing unemployment, Price rise and economic slow down and there is hue and cry in all sphere of life. He said Govt. is not serious to handle the affairs of country. He appealed to the workers the unite and oppose the wrong economic policy of central govt. During the day long conference the state general secretary presented report for the last three years. Many resolution were also passed in which it is demanded to revise minimum wages and implement workers pension scheme 1995 for industrial workers to implement labour laws and social welfare scheme properly in the state and stop contract workers employment system in the factories and there exploitation. It was also demanded by resolution to impellent the 6th Pay Commission recommendation in toto and arrears be paid in two installments in cash. Wage rate of daily workers also be increased from Rs 70 to Rs 150 per day. All daily wagers be regularized who have completed 7 years service as per govt. decision and bonous be paid to all state govt. employees. In the one day conference the election was also held for the next three years with Mr. Vijay Chandel as its President Messers N.K. Gupta working president Ishfaq Ahmed Chauhan, Chanan Singh Toor and Swarna Choudhary Vice President while as Harbans Choudhary General Secretary and Ashok Choudhary Dy. General Secretary. The newly elected Secretaries of the organization, Shayam Sunder Sharma, Subash Chander, Sachin Bali and Karnail Chand as cashier. The executive includes Shamsher Chand, Dev Parkash, Rakesh Kumar Jagdish Raj, Chaman Lal Raina, Major Singh, Rajinder Bhatt and Neelam Sharma.
