Aqsa Gulzar of J&K - India celebrates historic victory clinched gold medal at Uzbekistan

SRINAGAR, Oct 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council is thrilled to extend heartfelt congratulations to Aqsa Gulzar from Srinagar for her exceptional achievement in the 8th Asian Pencak Silat Championship 2024 which was Held in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, from October 7th to 16th, 2024, this prestigious event witnessed the finest athletes from across Asia, and Ms Aqsa Gulzar's outstanding performance earned her a coveted Gold Medal.
This remarkable triumph is a testament to Ms Aqsa Gulzar's dedication, perseverance, and passion for the sport. Her achievement not only brings pride to the Pencak Silat Association of J&K but also inspires countless young athletes across the region.
Secretary YSS Sarmad Hafeez IAS and Secretary JKSC Nuzhat Gul congratulated Aqsa's best ever performance at the Asian Podium for making J&K proud.
"We are overjoyed by Miss Aqsa Gulzar's incredible success," said Coaches Irfan Aziz Botta & Mohd Iqbal "Her hard work, discipline, and commitment to excellence have paid off, and we are honored to have her represent our association on the international stage." Among other from J&K who got bronze medals are Tawqeer farooq and Arsh Naseer also shine at the Asian Podium.
Miss Aqsa Gulzar's victory is a milestone for Pencak Silat in Jammu and Kashmir, demonstrating the growing talent and potential of athletes from the region.
