JAMMU, Oct 17: Today, Movement Kalki board member Vikram Mahajan met with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sham Lal Sharma, who was recently elected from Jammu North, to congratulate him on his victory. During the meeting, Vikram Mahajan raised significant concerns, focusing on cow protection (Gokashi), Dogra identity and dignity (Dogra Identity and Dignity), and the preservation of Dogra heritage temples (Mandirs - Our Dogra Heritage).
Vikram Mahajan emphasized the importance of these issues for the cultural and social fabric of Jammu and stated that addressing them is essential. He stressed the need for strict measures to protect cows and preserve the region's religious traditions. Furthermore, he underscored the importance of safeguarding Dogra identity and preserving temples, which are the cultural heritage of the Dogra community.
Sham Lal Sharma expressed his support for Vikram Mahajan's concerns and assured him that these matters would be seriously addressed. He further added that under the leadership of the BJP, the identity of the Dogra community and its religious sites would remain protected, and every effort would be made for their development and security.
This meeting marks a significant step towards the social and cultural progress of Jammu, and the issues raised by Movement Kalki are expected to shape robust policies in the interest of the community in the future.
