Udhampur, Mar 29- In order to promote the local talent in the field of Art, Culture and Languages, the District Information Centre, Udhampur organized a multi-lingual Kavi Samelan at Katra.
Sub Divisional Police Officer, Katra, Jugal Sharma was the chief guest while reputed writer, Shiv Nirmohi was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lauded the services of District Information Centre, Udhampur for organizing this mushaira at Katra, the camp for the pilgrimage of Mata Vaishno Devi Ji. He also appreciated the poets who participated in the mushaira and recited their high moral poems by giving a message of mutual brotherhood, national integration and eradication of social evils.
The poets who participated in the mushaira included Bishan Dass Garia, Karan Singh Wazir, Raj Kumar Bhagia, Mohammed Sadiq, Gopal Krishan Komal, Kartar Chand, Rattan Gopal Khajuria, Anil Dubey, Krishan Lal, Kumari Veena Heera, Kumari Sumega and Master Ragav.
