Govt Degree College Samba signs MoU with FICCI FLO JKL

JAMMU, Oct 18: SPPND Government Degree College Samba marked a remarkable milestone towards fostering women empowerment and leadership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FICCI FLO JKL. The MoU was signed today by Principal SPPND Govt. Degree College Samba, Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri and Mrs. Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson FICCI FLO JKL.
This collaboration focuses on providing skilling and entrepreneurship programs, outcome-based learning, internships, workshops and awareness initiatives to prepare students for real world challenges. The MoU signifies the commitment to creating a platform where students, especially women, can access comprehensive resources and opportunities for career development.
Addressing the gathering, Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri in her address exhorted that the partnership symbolizes a shared vision of empowering the next generation women. She further added that this collaboration will serve as a powerful catalyst, enabling our female students to break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and step confidently into the world with the tools they need to succeed.
Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson FICCI FLO JKL, outlined the forums dedication to creating a nurturing environment for women's growth and success. She interacted with students during the event, encouraging them to take full advantage of the opportunities this collaboration offers. She also emphasized the importance of equipping young women with the right skills and mindset to succeed in the entrepreneurial world.
The collaboration marks the establishment of a Young Women Affinity Group (YWAG) at SPPND GDC Samba. This initiative aims to create a dedicated forum for young women pursuing higher education in prominent institutions across the region. Through YWAG, women students will gain access to a wide range of opportunities provided by FICCI FLO JKL, including participation in events, knowledge-building sessions, webinars, workshops, and training programs.
