Early Times Report

Rajouri, Mar 29- Three persons were injured in clashes that erupted in the Manjkote area of Rajouri district on Sunday after Army started construction work of a school at a graveyard where militants are buried.
Reports said that on Sunday morning a contingent of Army’s Gorkha Rifles along with bulldozers appeared at a graveyard at Manjkote where ten militants are buried. The soldiers started construction work for a school under Operation Sadbhavana.
As the excavation work was on progress, the bulldozer retrieved three bodies of the militants.
On spotting the retrieval of bodies, the locals rushed to the spot and objected to Army’s construction work, triggering heated arguments between the both sides. People alleged that the army men were showing no respect for the dead.
Later, Army men used force to disperse the protesters resulting in injuries to three persons identified as Liyaqat Ali, Naseem and Basharat Khan.
