| JDI of fashion technology students’ industrial visit to Delhi | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 29- To give more exposure and provide opportunity of practical surveys relating to their courses, the JD institute of Fashion Technology, Jammu Centre organized an educational trip for its students to Delhi. Neena Sharma, centre manager accompanied the students in the entire trip. The students of fashion designing visited the biggest fabric house in Delhi, HP Singh fabric house and weavers service centre. The students collected various fabric samples and details about the materials at HP Singh. At weavers centre, they were able to study different types of looms and their parts. They also visited Delhi Haat and gathered first hand information on all the handlooms and handicrafts of India. The students of interior designing course visited Khan Market to study of interior lights and Kirti Nagar for the survey of the furniture market. The students of interiors also prepared a project on the newly constructed select city mall at Saket where they surveyed the interiors of shops on the type of finishes, polishes, types of tables, types of wall and floor finishes. The students also had a special lecture on textile design and interior design by experts arranged by the JD corporate centre, Delhi. Theo also went round the exhibition there and had a meeting with the executive director, JD corporate R C Dalal.
