DLSA, TLSC organize plantation drive

GANDERBAL, Oct 23: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal and Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Kangan in collaboration with Sindh Forest Division, Ganderbal today organized Plantation Drive at Munsiff Court Complex, Kangan, as a part of Swachhta-hi-Sewa Campaign.
The event was organized under the guidance of Abdul Nasir, Chairman, DLSA Ganderbal, and under the supervision of Sheikh Babar Hussain, Secretary DLSA Ganderbal and Mufti Nahida, Munsiff/JMIC (Chairperson TLSC), Kangan. It aimed to raise awareness about the afforestation under Global Campaign "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" (Plant for mother).
On the occasion, various saplings were planted in the Munsiff Court Complex, Kangan.
Speaking on the occasion, Mufti Nahida raised awareness among the participants about the afforestation and also motivated them to plant more and more trees in order to conserve nature. She said that planting a tree, and safeguarding it, is our responsibility and then only we can give a better environment to our forthcoming generation.
Danish Khan, District Forest Officer, Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal emphasized the need of involvement of the young generation in the preservation of environment and ecosystem. He also laid emphasis on conservation of nature and natural resources in order to ensure transformation of legacy to future generations.
On this occasion a large number of people participated and a number of plants were planted.
The event helped to bring awareness about the green cover around us. It also helped in strengthening the bond between plants and humans.
The event was also attended by Ranger Social Forest Division Ganderbal (Block Kangan), Ranger Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal (Block Kangan), President Bar Association Kangan and other respectable of the area.
