| AIIMS Jammu commences spine surgeries | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 23: AIIMS Jammu has successfully commenced spine surgeries, marking a new era in advanced healthcare for the region. The first surgery was performed on a patient diagnosed with L5-S1 Prolapsed Intervertebral Disc (PIVD) with right-side radiculopathy, a condition causing severe back pain and nerve compression in the lower limbs. This surgery was carried out by an expert team of Doctors and highlights the Institution's growing capabilities in specialized Medical care.
The surgical team included Dr. Tarsem Lal Motten, Dr. Rashid Anjum and Dr. Imran and the Anaesthesia team, led by Dr. Sunana Gupta and supported by Dr Sandeepika Dogra and Dr. Pallavi. The Anaesthesia team played a critical role in ensuring the patient's comfort and safety throughout the surgery.
