Jammu, Mar 30- The Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal convened a high level meeting with the officials of National Building Corporation Company (NBCC) and other departments to review the ongoing construction work on sewerage system in Jammu city.
Interacting with the officials, Dr Kotwal deliberated upon the various issues pertaining to the projects undertaken by NBCC and asked them to expedite their construction work and complete the ongoing work within scheduled time. He stressed on the need for close coordination among the chief executing agency and other departments to ensure that the laying of sewerage pipes and further restoration of the roads on which the work is taken up is completed in time so that public inconvenience is minimized.
Dr Kotwal exhorted the executing agencies for regular monitoring and supervision of the projects on the ground level to remove bottlenecks in project implementation.
He also directed NBCC to put on project specifications at the project site so that public is kept well informed about the ongoing works in any area.
Among others present in the meeting were Additional District Development Commissioner, Jammu, DIG Traffic, SSP Traffic, senior officers from PHE, PDD, PWD, JMC, R&B and BSNL.
