DC Srinagar chairs security coordination meeting

SRINAGAR, Oct 24: Deputy Commissioner (DC)/ District Magistrate Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a security coordination meeting here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex aimed to strengthen coordination among the Civil Administration and the Police across the District.
Besides, Senior Superintendent of Police Srinagar, Imtiyaz Hussain, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Ahmad Kataria and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Khalid Hussain Malik the meeting was attended by SDM East, SDM West and other senior Officers of Police and Administration.
At the outset, Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of seamless coordination between Police and District Administration to ensure safety of people & to ensure peaceful environment for all. He also stressed on security audit of the ongoing key infrastructural projects in the District and round the clock nakas at specific check points and night patrolling.
During the meeting, the Officers of the District from both Administration and Police side discussed extant security measures in place and measures to enhance the security arrangements in Srinagar District. The meeting focused on devising strategies ensuring public safety and peaceful environment.
