Altaf Bukhari terms recent terror attacks as ‘highly alarming’
10/25/2024 10:36:53 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Oct 25: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari described the recent terror attacks in Gagangeer, Ganderbal, and Botapather, Gulmarg as “highly alarming.” He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of two soldiers and two porters in last evening’s attack at Botapather.
In his statement, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said, “The recent attacks in Gagangeer and Botapather are highly alarming as such incidents have the potential to damage the hard-earned peace achieved over the past few years. Seven innocent people, including six laborers, were killed in Gagangeer, while two soldiers from the Rashtriya Rifles and two porters—Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary of Nowshera Boniyar and Zahoo Ahmad Mir of Barnate Boniyar—lost their lives in Botapather. I am deeply grieved by the loss of these lives. May the deceased rest in eternal peace, and may their families find the strength to bear the pain of this tragedy.”
He further said that “Such terror attacks can harm the political and economic interests of J&K and its people. People have already endured a lot, and they cannot afford further pain and destruction.”
Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said that all the stakeholders must unite in their efforts for peace and stability in J&K. He said, “It is the responsibility of every stakeholder to ensure that violence does not resurface in J&K. There should be no politics surrounding such attacks. Beyond the efforts of security agencies combating terrorism, all political stakeholders, regardless of their political or ideological differences, must unite in promoting peace and stability and standing against terrorism.”
