| Awareness programme on strawberry organzised at Kathua | | |

Jammu, Mar 30: The Strawberry growers association organized a one day district level awareness programme on Strawberry under scheme “Technology Development & Transfer for promotion of Horticulture” at Kathua here this morning over 300 farmers attended the programme. The programme was sponsored by National Horticulture Board, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt of India.
Maj General (Retd.) J.S Jamwal president AWARE inaugurated the programme while ADC Kathua, Rishi Kumar, Gupta, Joint Director Horticulture J.N Sharma were the guest of honour. Kesar Parveen founder SGA and convener CIGA speaking on the occasion highlighted different problems faced by the strawberry and Fruit growers of the distnit.
CHO Kathua J.L. Ramoa S.P. Sharma Rajesh Kumar Pangotra Ashwani Kumar Dayan Chand Chief Warden Civil Defense representative of banks were the resource person presnt on the occasion.
Sharma listened ot the different problems faced by the farmers and assured all the helps from their respective departments to solve the same, Sham Gorka, General Secretary, SGA highlighted the activities of the strawberry growers association.
In the programme impressive demonstration stall of strawberry cultivation was also installed study material and refreshment was also distributed among the participants.
