The working committee of the Indian Science Congress Association Jammu chapter has desired the participation of all members (Annual/ Life members) in the inaugural function being held on 31st March, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the seminar Hall of the department of Zoology, University of Jammu. The Association with its head office at Kolkata is a National body which came into existence 96 years ago looks after the growth of science in India, working as an advisory body that conduct meeting in the month of January every year which is attended by Prime minister of India science and technology minister of India and even by Noble laureates.
The purpose of Jammu chapter is to inculcate the growth of science in young minds and carrying science from lab. To field and its relevance to socio-economic growth through participation of schools, colleges and universities of Jammu & Kashmir.
