Kavinder flays MP Aga Ruhullah’s call for release of Political Prisoners
10/30/2024 10:34:50 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 30: In a strong response to the recent letter from Member of Parliament Aga Ruhullah, which urged the Chief Minister to fulfill election promises related to the release of political prisoners, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta has strongly condemned the move as a misguided attempt to create disturbances in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking at the meeting held here today, the senior BJP leader emphasized that the region has successfully emerged from decades of turmoil and unrest, attributing this positive change to the dedicated efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. “Today, we stand at a pivotal moment in our history, with the absence of stone-pelting, hartals, and civilian killings.
Educational institutions, which were neglected under the previous regimes of the National Conference (NC) and Congress, are now thriving and providing vital education to our youth throughout the year,” he stated.
The senior BJP leader urged NC leaders to mend his ways and prioritize the welfare of the public over political posturing.
“Rather than attempting to stoke tensions, it is crucial for the Ruhullah to collaborate with the government in promoting development and uplifting the lives of our citizens. The people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve leaders who are committed to peace, prosperity, and progress,” he asserted.
The senior BJP leader reassured the public that the Central Government headed by PM Modi remains steadfast in its support for the current administration, emphasizing the importance of a united front in overcoming challenges.
“While the Central Government will always stand with the present dispensation, it is imperative for the NC to align itself with the path of constructive engagement and development,” he added.
Kavinder said that the time has come for a collective effort toward a brighter and more prosperous future for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
