JAMMU, Oct 30: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Regional Office, Jammu, held the closing ceremony for its annual "Hindi Pakhwada-2024" today, marking the end of two weeks of activities aimed at promoting the use of Hindi in official communications. The ceremony, led by Regional PF Commissioner Shri Rizwan Uddin, was attended by special invitee Mr. Pankaj Rastogi, Regional Director of D.T.N.B.W.E.D., who emphasized the importance of Hindi as the Rajbhasha and its role in fostering team spirit and communication across departments.
Held from September 14 to September 29, "Hindi Pakhwada-2024" featured a series of contests, including essay writing ('Nibandh Pratiyogita'), thought expression ('Vichar Pratiyogita'), and official noting and drafting competitions ('Tippan and Aalekhan Pratiyogita'). Officers and staff from both Jammu and Leh offices participated enthusiastically, competing to improve their Hindi proficiency and contribute to the organization's language goals.
Shri Rizwan Uddin and Mr. Rastogi highlighted how events like Hindi Pakhwada create a vibrant, competitive atmosphere that encourages the expression of ideas in Hindi, ultimately reinforcing the language's significance in official work. The event also saw participants from the Leh office being recognized for their outstanding contributions.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates and cash prizes, ranging from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 5,000, awarded to top performers, including Sanjeev Kumar (SSSA), Prabhat Kumar (SSSA), Prathima V.
