| KVK Reasi imparts training on natural farming | | |  Early Times Report
REASI, Oct 30: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi under the aegis of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of Jammu (SKUAST-J) organised training programme on natural farming here today at Talwara village in Reasi distt. of J&K which was actively attended by a number of farmers of the area. The programme was organized under the dynamic leaderdship of Vice Chancellor, Prof.B.N. Tripathi and able guidance of Director Extension, Prof. Amrish Vaid of SKUAST-J. The major objective of the programme was to develop skill among the farmers on natural farming and guide them on the multiple benefits on natural farming. Chief Scientist and Head of KVK Reasi, Dr.Banarsi Lal spoke in detail on natural farming and elucidated the benefits of adoption of natural farming. He said that natural farming balances the agro-ecological system and highlighted the safe food and nutritional security. He emphaised on the need to shift conventional farming to natural farming so as to safeguard biodiversity and environment.
