JAMMU, Oct 31: The Directorate of Agriculture Production and Farmers' Welfare Jammu proudly observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) today, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a visionary leader who played a pivotal role in unifying the nation.
The event was led by Joint Director Agriculture (Extension/SLUB), Shri Satish Sharma, who, along with sectoral heads, officers, and staff, gathered at the Krishi Bhawan Complex. Together, they took a unity pledge to reaffirm their commitment to strengthening the unity, integrity, and security of the nation.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated annually on October 31, honoring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's contributions to India's unity. Initiated by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in 2015, this day serves as a reminder of the nation's commitment to unity and its vision to lead globally by the year 2047.
Satish Sharma emphasized the importance of unity in diversity, stating, "As we remember Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's legacy, let us reinforce our dedication to fostering harmony and cooperation among all sections of society. Together, we can build a stronger and more unified nation".
