DC Poonch inspects patient care facilities at SDH Surankote

SURANKOTE, Nov 2: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal inspected and reviewed the healthcare facilities, here today at the Sub District Hospital Surankote.
During a visit, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of achievements under Health Sector Schemes, functioning of the Health Institution, infrastructure up-gradation and the healthcare facilities being extended to patients.
The DC also took the first hand appraisal from the respective Officer about the functioning of Hospitals. He inquired about the healthcare facilities being extended to the patients and works being executed for infrastructure up-gradation and procurement of machinery. The DC asked the concerned head to submit details of requirements so that necessary interventions are taken to resolve the issues at the earliest to further strengthen the patient care system in the hospital.
Deputy Commissioner interacted with patients and enquired about health care services provided in the hospital. He also visited the under construction building of the hospital and directed the concerned to complete the work within the time limit. He also inspected the Jan Ashudi Kendra and took stock details of medicines availability there for patients. A threadbare discussion was held on the physical status of projects, financial implications, healthcare achievements, patient care facilities, enrollment under various projects like PMJAY Ayushman Bharat, Jan Ayushadhi Kendras, TB free scheme and other related issues. The DC instructed the health care functionaries to come up to the expectations of the patients and focus on quality assurance, accessible, and affordable healthcare.
